About the artists:
Thomas Ragsdale is a Yorkshire based composer who melds cinematic electronica with immersive soundscapes and blissful techno workouts. His approach to writing and producing is built around a minimalist framework, choosing to rely heavily on organic instrumentation overlaid with subtle electronic elements, whilst live performances take on a more visceral approach with tense peaks of sound in front of a full live visual show.
A founding member of the Anti-Ghost Moon Ray collective Alex Painter is a multi-instrumentalist and composer living in Brighton, UK. He is best known for his songwriting work as Great Pagans and as one half of psych/noise duo The Julian Strangers.
Weatherbrow is Dan Bibby, Brighton based artist and producer. Has a great fondness for delays.
Sevenism is a prolific ambient producer based in Nottingham. He likes pushing/blurring boundaries and finding strange beauty in randomness and experimentation.

I don't buy a lot of Christmas records, but I reckon Gazelle Twin had to be worth the risk. And I was right. Two fascinatingly dark arrangements here, and if you're wondering about Silent Night, well, just imagine what it would sound like if Scott Walker got a hold of it. Oh, and Gaudete doesn't sound like the song Steeleye Span sung. Gavin Hellyer
